Astana Congress Hall

The Astana Concert Hall, formerly known as the Congress Hall, is one of the key cultural landmarks of the capital of Kazakhstan. Since its opening in 1963, the building has served as an important center for public and state events, concerts, and exhibitions. Inscribed on the list of historical and cultural monuments of national significance in 1982, it is under state protection.

Originally designed by Latvian architects, the building underwent significant renovation in 1998. Today, the hall seats 1,600 spectators, offering comfortable conditions and maintaining excellent acoustics. The modern infrastructure includes a large stage with lifting mechanisms, a spacious foyer with a refreshment bar and dressing rooms, and rehearsal spaces.

The Astana Concert Hall is managed by the State Academic Philharmonic of the Astana Akimat. Three orchestras, a chamber choir, a string quartet, and many other creative groups perform here. The hall also hosts touring concerts by international stars and hosts a variety of events, from carnivals to charity events.
