Description

The National Stadium in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, is a renowned multi-purpose sports venue. It is classified as a Category 4 stadium by UEFA.

This stadium holds a special place in the history of Romanian sport, as it hosted the UEFA Europa League Final on May 9, 2012, the first event of this magnitude in European club football held in Romania. The National Stadium is also the home stadium of Oțelul FC and the Romanian national team.

Construction of the arena began on February 20, 2008, and lasted three years. The official opening took place in September 2011. The first match at the new stadium was the Euro 2012 qualifier between Romania and France. The opening match was originally planned to be against Argentina, but it was cancelled due to the dismissal of the Argentine coach following their disappointing performance at the Copa America.

The stadium can accommodate up to 55,600 spectators at sporting events and up to 63,000 people at concerts and other public events. Its infrastructure includes 3,600 seats for VIP guests and 126 workstations for media representatives. There are also 2,100 parking spaces and recreation areas. Tickets for a variety of events held at the National Stadium can be purchased on our website.
