A$AP Rocky is an American rapper, producer, actor, and fashion icon who has become one of the most influential figures in modern hip-hop. His real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers. He was born on October 3, 1988, in the New York City neighborhood of Harlem. His parents named him after the legendary rapper Rakim. From a young age, the future musician grew up surrounded by hip-hop culture, which shaped his destiny.
In 2011, Rocky burst onto the music scene as a member of the hip-hop collective A$AP Mob. His first mixtape immediately attracted the attention of critics and listeners. In 2013, the debut studio album “Long Live A$AP” (Long.Live.A$AP) was released, which immediately took the first line of the Billboard chart.
