Description
The Belgrade Arena is the architectural landmark of New Belgrade and one of the symbols of the Serbian capital. Construction of the complex began in 1991, but was repeatedly interrupted due to economic difficulties. The arena was finally completed and opened in 2004. Today, it is the largest indoor facility in Serbia and one of the most capacious indoor arenas in Europe.
The complex's hall occupies an area of 48,000 square meters and includes six levels. The standard configuration provides 18,386 seats, but for concert events, the capacity can reach 20,000 spectators. Guests have access to regular sectors, upholstered chairs, and luxury boxes—a total of 70 boxes for 860 people.
The arena has become the home court of Serbia's strongest basketball clubs—Partizan and Crvena Zvezda. In addition to regular matches, the arena hosted the Euroleague Final Four in 2018 and 2022, attracting thousands of fans from across Europe. In addition to sporting events, the venue regularly hosts performances by international and European music stars.
The arena is easily accessible—it is located on Arsenija Čarnojevića Boulevard, near the major thoroughfares of New Belgrade. Drivers have ample parking available. The complex attracts up to 800,000 visitors annually, making it one of the most visited venues in the region.
